More When Chaim Fetter travelled through rural Indonesia in the due course of 2005, he was confronted with the harsh conditions and lack of opportunity street children face on a daily basis. Moved by such observations, he instantly decided to change the course of his life toward the domain of philanthropy. Together with his childhood friend Bjørn Dudok van Heel he founded the Peduli Anak Foundation, which consequently established a vertically integrated ‘area of care’ on the remote Indonesian island of Lombok. Purchasing a significant plot of land, the Foundation incubated its first project shortly after, consisting of shelters, schools, and medical facilities. Over a decade later, Peduli Anak is a recognised and professionally run non-profit organisation, known for its standardised and transparent way of operating, and focus on the delivery of world-class care in the fields of family-like care, education, family support, medical care and legal support. Till date the Peduli Anak Foundation is estimated to have touched the lives of over 30,000 children, thereby providing them with the opportunity towards a better life.
