CDI is dedicated to developing a flexible and unique land-use model, which allows for the creation of a portfolio of scalable, quality forest landscape restoration projects in Colombia that focus on all three dimensions of sustainability: environmental, social, and financial. We visualize a three-pronged approach to the development of future projects, which synthesizes the need for carbon sequestration to contribute to the mitigation of climate change, the need to maintain, restore and give value to local biodiversity to ensure its long-term conservation, and the need to maintain and improve livelihoods of local landowners through a more sustainable land use model that increases their prosperity.
